RV Bathroom Ideas

What different types of bathrooms come with the newest RVs and travel trailers?

Buying an RV is a very important decision and even the simplest features like a bathroom are not something you want to take lightly. It’s imperative to understand what you’re getting for your money. There are different bathroom types that you can find when trying to buy an RV, and that alone can bring some incredible results.

What kind of bathrooms will you find in the newest RVs?

For the most part, RVs tend to have different types of bathrooms. A wet bathroom is common if you have a smaller RV, a class B or around that. These RVs have a toilet, shower and a sink, but it’s all in a very tiny space. However, the benefit of having a wet bathroom is that you can easily clean it. Wiping it off is very convenient and that can help quite a bit. Yes, it’s not perfect and it might have some downsides, but that alone is definitely helpful!

Larger RVs and the newer ones tend to have a dry bathroom. They have a separate area for the toilet and shower. The benefit you get with dry bathrooms is they have extra space so you can move around freely. Sure, that makes them a bit harder to clean, but the extra space is always welcome. On top of that, you can also house and use more tools like hair dryers and similar items. For a lot of people, these are a must-have, and certainly worth it.

Some RVs don’t even have a bathroom, even if they are newer. The models that tend to not have a bathroom are teardrop trailers, small travel trailers or pop up campers. All of them can be great, but check and see what type of bathroom you get from them, if any.

Does it matter if your RV has a bathroom?

Generally, you expect a new RV to have a good and reliable bathroom. Smaller RVs will go for the wet bathroom option, and that can be a good feature to have even if it’s not that large. That being said, larger and more expensive RVs will dedicate a lot of space to the bathroom and provide you with an excellent differentiation between the toilet and bathing space. It always comes down to personal needs and preference. Of course, the overall budget is crucial too, and upping it a bit can give you access to some incredible models with exceptional amenities and a great bathroom too!
